Matrix Transport was founded in October 2003 by two dedicated brothers, Walter and Bob Bozovic, who each entered the trucking industry in the early 1990s. With years of hands-on experience, both brothers also developed a deep expertise in auto and truck repair, a skill that remains integral to the company’s success today.
From day one, Matrix Transport has been operated solely by the Bozovic brothers, and it continues to thrive under their leadership. Over the years, the company has navigated both the highs and lows of the trucking industry, never wavering from its core values and the guiding principle: “Drive the Road You Are On and Do Not Falter.”
Starting their journey as drivers, the brothers quickly progressed to Owner/Operators (O/O) and, by 1997, became agents for a terminal based in Ohio. They focused on Power Only services for UPS and major railyards, including BNSF, Union Pacific, CSX, Canadian National, JB Hunt, and China Shipping. Their commitment to excellence quickly made Matrix the number one call carrier for UPS’s TOFC/COFC department. In this role, Matrix was entrusted with urgent, last-minute calls to transport UPS trailers when delays or derailments impacted railyard operations. With a fleet of 10-15 trucks always ready to respond, Matrix consistently delivered on time—upholding an outstanding on-time delivery rate of 98% for over six years.
